Brignola Pasta Sauces have been lovingly made in the old-world Italian tradition for more than 100 years. The original recipe was passed down from my paternal great-grandparents, Pasquale and Anna-Maria Brignola, who came to America from Naples and Rome.
My grandfather, Salvatore Brignola, loved to cook and share his family's traditional Italian recipes. His pasta sauce was famous in our hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, and I remember watching him in the kitchen, cooking huge pots of sauce for every special occasion we celebrated: birthdays, holidays, and impromptu get-togethers with friends and family.
Over the years, Salvatore refined the recipe created by Pasquale and Anna-Maria, until he was able to offer his guests the opportunity to "Taste True Italian FlavorTM" that he cherished from his childhood. "Salvatore's Sauce" became more than a simple food, it evolved into a tradition that lives on today.I am very proud of my Italian heritage, and I'm excited to be able to share the good taste and full flavors of "true" Italian foods with my customers. Brignola Pasta Sauces are made with the freshest ingredients, using a special technique to preserve the "just off the vine" taste.
